Basically, I want a shop I can visit in person (not mail order) to buy these low energy bulbs. B+Q doesn't sell them, Lidl only does occasionally, other suggestions?

I am quite brassed off with GU low energy lights (although mine are fluorescent mini-tube rather than LED). They are dim and I hate the light, much worse than ordinary low-energy bulbs. Were also so expensive it would be cheaper to rewire kitchen with oldfashioned screw-in spotlights!

Have you a specialist lighting or electrical shop near you? They should have some. What town are you near?

Well, we have found out that probably the lights won't do us, anyway, because you can't mix them on same transformer with ordinary Halogen lights and they would be too dim on their own. The GU10 lights (blocky prongs) are very common, but it's harder to find GU5.3 (halogen type lights with pointy prongs).
