Looking for a coffee cup

Hi!

I'm looking for a coffee cup to stop using disposable ones.

I have tried my MIL's one but the thick plasticky top (maybe?) makes the coffee taste strange..... is this an issue other people have?

What is your favourite one?

Tbh I don't really mind if it keeps the coffee hot or not. In my china mug I still drink it if it goes cold and enjoy it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks

I have several and one [[https://www.nespresso.com/uk/en/order/accessories/original/touch-travel-mug-coffee-cup]] by Nespresso is by far my favourite. It fits in the car cup holder, keeps drinks warm, closes easily and is dishwasher safe. I am not sure if it is 100% spill proof, I always hold it upright.

My Sho Calix is nice, but it has a stupid stainless steel lid that gets really hot, you can’t close the lid completely and it is not dishwasher safe.

I like Keep Cup. I do not know if it is the best, but worth taking a look.

I had seen those before Smile

But after using my MILs I got worried about spending money on something that'll make my cup taste bad Sad

@grey12 Can you get to a bostonteaparty.co.uk/cups/

bostonteaparty.co.uk/cafes.php?menu=open

You can rent out a Keep Cup, then they give you the money back when you return it. (I like Bath Kingsmead Square- although I haven't been since before Covid Sad )

It might not pass your taste test, but I've got a Contigo like this one. It was only £9 from Tesco (on their Clubcard price offer thing), I bought it last week.

I'm not saying the lid does affect the taste, I don't notice any difference. I have had other travel mugs in the past that I have felt make the coffee taste a bit weird. Maybe it's plastic cups that make it taste weird rather than the lid, this one is metal and I've used it a few times now and it's not been an issue.

Don't get a stojo...that's what I have , makes my coffee taste nasty so I can't bear using it anymore Sad

I've got a Neon Kactus and I really like it. It's got a really tight fitting lid so I can throw it in my bag after finishing a coffee and know that it won't dribble. It's nicely machined metal and not too expensive.
