Electric car - VW ID4 vs Skoda Enyaq

Just that really.

Does any of you have any of these cars and what are the pros and cons?

We have two DCs and a dog, meaning double buggy and lots of stuff... a big boot is important to us.

We recently viewed the id4 (and DW test drove it) after trying a few other cars and we loved it- definitely getting one. 8 month wait though! Haven't tried the Skoda. The range and comfort sold the id4 to us, and there's a huge boot.

We've had an Enyaq since the end of September and it's fantastic.

There are loads of comparison articles and videos around about both cars and all of the other equivalent models and the enyaq usually comes out on top. Obviously the id 4 is pretty much the same as the enyaq as is the audi so it's a matter of aesthetics although the audi doesn't do as well on tests. We much preferred the exterior look and the interior of the enyaq so we went with that.

There's currently a world wide shortage of chips for all evs so the lead time for enyaqs the last I heard was heading towards 2023.

Reviving this thread because we're currently comparing the Skoda Enyaq with the Volvo XC40. Anyone with any helpful hints or experiences?
