We live in a 1st floor flat with a small kitchen, but i would like to compost our left overs. What could i put them in and what could i do with it?

we don't have a garden, nor do any of our friends.

well my compost is stored in a pile of old rubber tyres.I have a plastic box witha lid that sits under the sink and all the compostable food scraps goin there and are then transferred into the tyre pile.
not much use if you have nowhere to use it tho.
ring the council and see if they can give you a brown bin for green waste & compostables.they will then be collected for you.

I think you need a bokashi bin. Look at wiggly wigglers website they have lots of different types of composter.

You could take it to the local city farm if you have one. I f not allotments would be pleased to take it

Saw this www.thewormworks.com/ at the green living show in sept. Its pretty compact and I worked out it would fit in my kitchen (on counter). You can vary the level of trays. Was going to get one but then started a new job that has a composter in the basement, so I use it instead.
