Kenco coffee refills

Good evening all,

We drink Kenco instant at home and I'm trying to figure out what's the best way of buying refills. The plastic packets of coffee they sell (pros: less packaging, weight etc. cons: will it really get recycled?) Or the large glass jars? I know glass recycles well and is more likely to be recycled - which do you think is better?

We drink ground in the morning, but like an instant decaff after dinner. Any input welcome!

I would always buy glass because it saves making the plastic in the first place. Even if the plastic can be recycled. The refill packs are only better if the non refill version uses more plastic and the refill pack definitely gets recycled. I bought a refill pack which is soft plastic so can't be recycled in my usual bin, only specialist recycle centres! Whereas my usual plastic bottle could go in my normal recycling. Refills can sometimes be a con where it makes the company look good for doing something for the environment, but actually it depends on the consumer to be responsible and recycle it.
