Go on - you know you'll feel better for it!

You can go and play with your kids somewhere where it costs nothing and take a packed lunch and a flask for lunch! Or you can stay at home and make things to give each other instead!

I came to say I bought nothing today and then remembered it was the school book fair and I bought the kids 4 books. Nearly!

Peachy · 23/11/2007 19:21

well I would but the kids won't eat coz its also food shopping day and I cant do it on sunday

Smithagain · 26/11/2007 11:39

Aw - I didn't hear about this till Saturday night.

The only thing I bought was a couple of extra ingredients so I could teach DD1 to make home-made ice cream. Does that count as just a being a little bit ethical?

And we never shop on Sundays ...

snowleopard · 26/11/2007 11:45

Yes - I read about it in the paper, on Saturday morning, when I had just bought - the paper! So they weren't trying very hard were they - they could have told me about it on Friday for example. Oh yes, except that it would have damaged their sales

We didn't buy anything except the paper which we will recycle. Is that OK?

I still don't feel right about Sunday trading even after all these years! Only do it in emergencies.

Fortunately I placed a huge order for Christmas crap on Friday night, so that's all right.
(What do you mean, that's not how it works?)
