Our 20 year old sofa is being replaced, the covers have been trashed by cats, children and general wear and tear. It was custom made so new covers would cost a fortune, but it's still very comfortable. Has anyone found a way of offering similar items free to an experienced upholsterer? Freecycle tends to want items in better condition, but I would really like to extend its life rather than sending it off to landfill. Any brilliant ideas?
