ChocoLaLa here!

Someone sent me some. They come in a lovely little tin, and are really gorgeous.

Not as big-looking box as any other chocolates I have seen, but the guy who makes them was explaining in the Observer that that is because they don't use plastic trays - which also create more transport problems and space.

It's brilliant quality chocolate and very rich. They do a vegan selection, too.

The company were in the Observer Work supplment on Sunday - they have gone to extreme lengths to be ethical!

They look really nice - I think I will order some of these. When your chocolates arrived, did they come with a receipt or anything? I am thinking of ordering them as a present so obviously don't want a sales slip to arrive with them.

No - no paperwork.

I'm sure you could double check with the company though - they seem very approachable from their website!

I'm going to order some little tins, I think, as 'thank yous'. I'm going to ask if they put in a little gift card, or anything.

Bessie - I had a lovely message back from the company to my enquiries about how they despatch gift tins:

"several tins of chocolates can be bought at one time from the easy to use
lala online shop
each can be sent to a different recipient... and, if desired, at different
weeks (all within one order)
each recipient can be sent a message with their tin (we don't mind how personal or creative the message is!)
spend more than £100 in one order and get 10% off the already unfeasibly low
price.
At the end of your purchase an email will be sent confirming the sale... and
another when each recipient's chocolates are despatched.

Make sure you sign up to the newsletter at
www.chocolala.co.uk/newsletter for special offers and
hot-off-the-press-information (like the small packs we MIGHT manage to do
for Christmas)"

the Guardian artcile about them!
