Can I use Bicarbonate of Soda and some vinegar? I am sure I once read that you can blend up old soap nuts with water and make a kind of washing liquid.

Can't you use "going to the shops and getting some more"?

don't use washing up liquid unless you want to flood your kitchen floor with soap bubbles

I've used a bit of non-bio washing powder before . I swear it works v. well!

Tried the 'going to the shops and getting some more' and forget them. I refuse to make a special journey to the supermarket for them. I suppose I could use the 'just unload it and hand wash it all' variety

I'd rather make a special journey to the supermarket than unload and wash by hand [slattern]

You can just run it using hot water. No soap required.
