How easy/complicated is it to apply for

I am confused by the webpage already?

I'm curious about the scheme myself. Shame that you have had no replies yet. Did you ever find out any more? I was hoping to find reviews of how it's working out.

I cannot find anyone to do the work. It's a total mess. I don't think they really want anyone to get it.

That's a massive shame. I've just applied this afternoon. But it looks like that is the easy bit. I wonder if anyone has managed to get work done? Not sure how to find out....

I did this for cavity wall insulation. DH got someone to come around and quote a couple of weeks before the website opened. Applied in the first 20 mins, got the voucher on 1 Dec and had the work done in the first week of January.

Paid the last part of our contribution and confirmed the voucher this morning for the installer to get paid the govt contribution.

It was quite simple for us but depending where you are it might be hard to find someone under the scheme as they have to be approved. I've heard for some they've had so many requests for work that they don't have capacity to complete it before the voucher runs out.

It is a bit of a shambles, but we were one of the lucky ones to get it through.

That's interesting, Alarae. Glad to hear it's worked out. Was it just the cavity insulation that you got the grant for?

As far as I can tell from the website the scheme is now open till March 22, and you just (?) need to keep renewing your voucher until you use it. Let's hope that I can find a contractor in that time.....
