Mindful Chef and Nestle tie in

Mindful Chef have just announced Nestle as a new partner. So disappointed, buying MC was one of the ways I was moving slowly towards being more ethical in my shopping. Now I've cancelled my delivery.

Good for you.
I don't use MC but it doesn't seem to fit with their supposed ethics.

It feels completely at odds with the business model @EmmaGrundyForPM.

Lots of very unhappy customers on their Facebook group. It's usually such a happy place.

It’s not a partnership, Nestle has bought Mindful Chef via M&A.

I’m a Mindful Chef customer and I’m not thrilled about this. Having said that, if they continue to be transparent about where all the food comes from and maintain high ethical and welfare standards — unlike Gousto, who’ve white-labelled everything and use meaningless terms on packaging like ‘from trusted farms’ — I'll stick with them.

So they’re on notice with me, but not out of the door yet.

I'm very disappointed. I joined during first lockdown and have loved it - I'm gluten and dairy free and my partner is NHS so we get 30% discount! There's a fair bit of packaging though. There's no way they can put a positive spin on this for me, it's pure and simple selling out.
I will continue to use the recipes but will buy the ingredients myself, using local farmers market as much as possible.

Thanks for posting OP. I've now cancelled my subscription and told them why.
