Wouldn't you love to be sat in front of an efficient wood burning stove?

Cos I'm selling mine

Well I bought a bigger one to do my central heating, and the old one is still going strong.

It can heat a fair sized room plus hot water tank & 1 or 2 radiators

It's lovely looking (Franco Belge - Savoy) and very efficient

Any interest

ps didn't put it in for sale as I felt this topic was more relevant.....sorry if it causes offense

What kind of price are you looking for?

Katymac · 06/10/2007 19:50

About £350 - it should last for about 15 years

I'm in Norfolk & collection is probably the only option (due to it's weight)

I just went and bought one yesterday. Am paying £700 for multifuel stove, fitting, metal chimney plate, chimney with door. I have to wait until November 5th for it to come though (appropriate date)

We would have been interested if we weren't so far away for pick up

Wood pellet stove/boiler and solar panels are coming hopefully in November once we get the grant from Clear Skies.

Then (if there's any money left) we're going to rip out the coal fire and back boiler and replace it with a wood burning stove. It only needs to heat one room though as we'll finally have central heating from the pellet stove!

And I won't have to shovel coal for another winter. I honestly cannot put into words how excited I am about this!!

So we'll be looking for stove advice very soon

CappuScreamO · 07/10/2007 16:39

I wouldn't

I had one in my last house you could write your name in dust on all the furniture

bobsmum · 07/10/2007 16:40

They're not supposed to do that

Katymac · 07/10/2007 16:46

Neither my new one nor my old one shed any dust

DD & Dh are both asthamtic so it would be a nightmare if they gave off ash/dust

Cod - 'Sitting' might be correct english but I think 'sat' sounds better (I was never any good at tenses isn't sat correct for future imperfect or whatever it is?)
