Just bought a huge amount of second hand fabric for my business!

Managed to buy over 100m of second hand fabric for my eco business; more than 2/3rda of it over 2m pieces!!

Over 30 zips, lace, lining fabric and interfacing!

Just wow!

Now I need to wash iron and fold it all! which is the shit bit

I make costumes, occasion wear and wedding gowns from pre-loved and vintage fabrics- often tablecloths, bedding and curtains

Loads 2 and 3 on the line - 4 is in the washing machine

I only use 'not new' so 2nd hand, end of lines, off cuts and destashes are all fair game

I nearly get caught on fb or eBay occasionally when they don't say it's new and that frustrates me

Are the neighbours peeking over the fence muttering ‘what must her decor look like in there!!!’.

nah they all know I'm a bit mad! [Grin]

Zips buttons bias binding and lace are all 'not new' too but I have to buy new thread - although Guttrrman seem to have brought out a recycled poly cotton i may start using f (once I have done some research)

Would love to see a picture of a finished garment of you have time.

Where do you get it from? My mum makes clothes for DD & struggles to find reasonably priced fabric
