I cxhucked out a lot of my clothes when preggers with DS1 (who now is nearly 3). I've hardly replaced any of them as I'm deeply uncomfortable about the pesticides and child labour in the cotton industry. I have bought 2 pairs of jeans from Gap and 2 tops from M&S.

Anyway, how do find out the cotton origin of a retailer?

There's a movement to get apparel brands to state origin of cotton on labels but it's not the law to do so.

If you buy fairtrade, ethical , organic clothes then the retailer normally can tell you where the cotton comes from.

I'm afraid cotton is something I stick my head in the sand about, especially when buying clothes.
