So it seems the plan for a geothermal heat pump is going down the dumper for loads of reasons

We're now wondering about a pellet stove. We've found one company who are being really helpful. but just wanted some experience stories from anyone here?

Hang on I only have a wood burner

It does our central heating because we are home all day - I wouldn't combine it with going out to work

Pellets burners are supposed to be better and can be automatic - but they were out of my price range & I could find a supplier of pelltes locally...sorry

I knew you had something burner-ey

Yes we're liking the fact that's it's semi-automatic (sounds like a shotgun!)That's what put us off the wood burner - I'm at home most of the time, but going away for the weekend etc would mean a baltic house!

You only need to pour in the pellets every 3/4 days and clean out the ash every 6 months!! And it can be operated remotely using your mobile - dh is in gadget heaven.

our nearest supplier seems to be about 2/3 hours away, but there might be someone more local - still hunting around.

Hoping this could be our final hurdle to get heating and that no-one has any horror stories

Sorry I can't help more

Always sounded like a good efficient system as long as you can get the pellets
