Hi all,

I'm looking for an eco replacement for my furniture spray. I usually use it on wood, skirting boards, mirrors, windowsills, doorframes....anything that needs a dust and clean from kids hand prints!

I don't have any 'proper' furniture it is all flat packed crap!

Can anyone recommend a product or a recipe for homemade spray?

Thank you xx

A damp cloth (warm, soapy water) is just fine - you don't really need a spray to wipe down furniture.

If you really want a spray you can mix water, white vinegar and some drops of essential oil in an old spray bottle. Or various eco brands do refillable sprays and sprays you dilute with water.

For wooden furniture you can use beeswax polish, which usually comes in a tin.

Thanks, Yes I've found a lot of 'recipes' that have vinegar in, which is handy as I have a 5l bottle in the cupboard!

Water with a few drops of washing up liquid, olive oil and essential oils is good for wood between polishings. Obviously needs shaking well before use.

For anything not wood, half and half water and vinegar with a few drops of essential oil.
