Bags 2 school for uniform with logos

My PTA has created a huge pile of uniform which is too tatty for the jumble. We use Bags 2 school for the non-logo items, but they won't accept fleeces etc with logos. Is there any way of recycling them or selling on for rags? Google tells me nothing!

I would put them into one of the clothes-bank hoppers in a recycling centre - they say on them that anything they can't sell or reuse will be recycled so anything that is too awful for a charity shop goes in there.

Are you sure the school is happy for clothing with logos to be passed on?

Out of interest what does your school think of Bag2School? I’ve organised it twice at our primary but feel uncomfortable with the ethics behind it.

I think the school just wants the pile of tatty and unsaleable fleeces to go somewhere and get used for something else, preferably raising a bit of cash, and preferably staying out of landfill. Bags 2 school is probably not perfect but better than the landfill option. We sell a lot of uniform at the jumble sale, but not all of it is going to stay in good condition.

Ah yes! I hadn’t thought about the landfill alternative, I feel a bit better about it now!
Thanks

Charity shops take tatty clothes and sell for rags. They create most of their income that way. Just ask the particular shop first
