I'm making a scarecrow with the school for a competition at the Bakewell Show later in the summer.
I've decided to make it totally from plastic to make the point how "scary" our plastic consumption is. "She" has a frame made from plastic pipe, polyester school jumper stuffed with plastic bags, a plantpot head with bin liner hair, milk carton top eyes, a DIY nozzle nose, bin liner skirt, plastic gloved hands and hopefully plastic wellie feet.
I would like to attach labels with the names of each sort of plastic and how long they take to decompose.
I might put a corn plastic bottle in her hand too.
However I'm struggling to find out the info about how long plastic takes to decompose. I'm sure I've come across comprehensive sites in the past. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
