smile (but they are part of the coop!)

We've always been lucky with the Co-op but there was an article about this in The Guardian some time ago. I'll keep an eye on this thread and help you out if nobody else comes to the rescue first.

Arent Smile meant to be good?
Was going to switch myself as I know First Direct not so hot on ethical issues...

I have found the smile customer service good and you get to speak to someone with fluent english in the UK

jetjets, this was the article I was thinking of, although if you go to the guardian website and search 'ethical banking' other stuff comes up too.

Hi
I have a savings account with Triodos. they have been v easy, good rate if interest and lots of different choices for accounts to suit.
Not sure about current account stuff though.

Not at all jetjets

Just wanted to say that I've also found Smile to be excellent. I was with the co-op who were a bit useless, we went back to a high street bank and then decided to give Smile a go. Even though Smile are part of the co-op group they have been excellent - good telephone and internet banking, very fast and friendly customer service.

Lyra75 · 28/06/2007 15:45

sorry should have said I have the whole works with smile - current account, savings account, credit card and isa! they are all easily managed from one internet sight / via one telephone banking line.
