not sure if this is right place for this but anyway:
DH was told that if you recycle glass etc at a particular Tesco in west london (nr. Gillette Corner), you can swipe your clubcard and earn points at the same time. Anyone tried it/know how it works? TIA

I have herd that you get club acrd points for recycling glass at me tesco as well...

BUT im always in a rush and have never yet been bothered to stop the car and see if its true!

My sister assures me you can though

you can do it at Brent Cross Tesco, plastic bottles too (which my council won't collect ). You swipe your card then stick them in a machine, I think, looks like something my dds would like to do so will try next time....

Yep I've done it, it's the Osterley Tesco. There's a big recycling station, with a computer screen and you swipe your card. You then put your items (can be plastic bottles, glass, cans etc.) in teh chute one at a time. Press the button when you're done, and you get points. I think it's 1 point for every 4 items.

Thanks TQOC. DH has tried it now and got some points, but couldn't figure out how they were allocated. He is now collecting all ours and his family's recyclables to take down there . He assures me he is often near there for work, so no extra mileage involved.
