Is there a paper version of these I can get, or a more environmentally friendly but still hygienic alternative? TIA.

What are you using them for? If sanpro, I usually just wrap in toilet paper and put in the bin.

Yes Devil. I like the idea of them being more contained, but I might revert to that if there isn't a sensible alternative.

Paper sweetie bags would work, available in bulk from amazon.

If you're not actually having to carry it about, there's no need for a bag really. Once it's in the bin I don't give it a second thought.
