Menstrual cup for young daughter

DD 13 has had enough of tampax making her sore and hates pads. She knows I use a cup and would like to try one.

She's tiny and skinny. Any advice which one would be good to start with?

Are the tampax making her sore because they aren't in the right position? I'm not sure why they would otherwise. If that's the case I wonder if a cup is really the right solution. I suppose she can only try.

No she says it's the actual in and out, like she's too dry or something (sorry TMI). Isn't that a problem some people have, that seems to be solved with cups?

I'm not sure it will be solved with cups - you actually need to be more invasive with them rather than less (I've used one for the past 8 years for full disclosure).

I do remember how difficult it was to insert a tampon at your DD's age, and used to use KY to lubricate it. Maybe, if she did opt for a moon cup, that might work too?

Has she tried light flow . I found these better as a teen

Comparison website I just found and the more I looked into it there is quite a bit of advice for teens and a quiz to help you find the right one. https://putacupinit.com

Ooo thank you, I'll have a look.
