i can't seem to find them in the uk, sorry! maybe you will be able to get them to ship to the uk?

seventhgonickname · 16/09/2018 15:02

It seems a shame that this country is doing so much research and information about micro fibers.I found out about them from our local council newsletter but frustratingly can't find an easy way to buy them.
The information was good though, more microfibers released if using washing powder and fabric softener.

maybe you could try washing with this instead? from what i gather it does the same thing

guppyfriend.com/en/

seventhgonickname · 16/09/2018 15:38

Because you can't stick an entire wash in it.I use one for microfibre items but the Cora balls would catch the whole wash.

They look bloody brilliant!!! I really want one. I was looking at the guppyfriend bag and decided against it as, like you said, you can't put a whole load in one.

I wonder if they ship to the uk? And if we'd be charged customs charges?

mrsoutnumbered · 16/09/2018 18:29

Ooh - linked via the cora ball website, a uk supplier:

Cynderella · 17/09/2018 09:55

Oooh, I want one. But £34 including P&P. Trying to find reviews.

Cynderella · 17/09/2018 20:54

I think we need to wait on this one ...

Thanks for sharing that link @Cynderella. What a shame!

gwennol · 05/11/2018 15:08

Expensive....yes but this is our children's future...you can't put a price on that. Pressure on washing machine manufacturers to include with every new purchase????

Cynderella · 05/11/2018 17:35

Yes, gwenol but there's a big difference between expensive and effective, and expensive and rather rubbish!

I think you can buy washing machines with microfibre filters 'built in' - that's the answer, I suppose. Meanwhile, there doesn't seem much we can do other than the usuals - buy less, wash less often and avoid microfibres.

TheClitterati · 05/11/2018 17:52

If this technology works, why aren't the water companies using similar tech to filter all our waste water

mrsoutnumbered · 07/11/2018 20:03

I think I would happily invest £34 if it actually worked. But the reviews are dreadful.

Agree that washing machine manufacturers need to add a filter to new machines as standard

Article on bbc today led me to do a search and found this website

Linda28 · 09/11/2018 09:54

WingingIt83 and Linda28, see the above message from Cynderella who has linked to some feedback on the US site.

TheEcoShopUK · 09/11/2018 20:39

Hey everyone! We stock them here in the UK at The Eco Shop. It’s £29 for one Cora plus £3.50 shipping or free shipping for orders £25+.

TheEcoShopUK · 09/11/2018 20:41

Sorry - free shipping over £75 not £25

Dady2 · 11/11/2018 10:36

Agreed we are all happy to pay if it works but as a reviewers, who had invested, pointed out buying them if they dont work is actually contributing to plastic waste. Although one suggestion was to use it as a dog toy. I would like to see what improvements they have made and it is a shame they havent posted any further updates to that effect on kickstarter.

Snoopy2012 · 11/11/2018 14:08
