Saw an article yesterday with regards to Yellow Pages. They can't be re-cycled as the paper is too poor a quality.

I don't see why we get one dumped on on our doorstep whether you want one or not and lets face it with yell.com online - who actually leafs through the book anyway?

Well you can now opt out of receiving one by calling 0800 671444.

They can't be recycled with normal newspapers and magazines, so if you put one in your recycling box it will just be chucked out.

Have opted out too. This has reminded me of a rather funny story dh told me years ago. His mother and sister took a load of paper to the recycling containers on the street (in the days before home recycling boxes) there was a noe on it saying "no yellow pages" so they spent ages going through the magazines etc ripping out any pages with yellow on them .

Am I wrong in thinking that if you are a BT customer part of your charge is for a yellow pages?? In which case, would you get this back?
