You can now get your electricity from a company called Ecotricity. They use wind farms and not fossil fuels to generate your electricity. They will even match the price oyu are paying now.

Ecotricity will use its profits to invest in wind farms etc. You can't choose to have your electricity solely from such sources unless you generate your own electricity. The electricity is transmitted from power stations to you via the National Grid and will have been generated by fossil fuel stations (gas, coal and oil), nuclear as well as wind farms or may have been imported from France (where most electricity is produced by nuclear power stations) via the interconnector.

Good point Lily, but its a great way of investing in green suppliers

There is this one that we are seriously considering - I know people very happy with them good energy

They say they are the only UK supplier to offer 100% renewable electricity, i.e. all obtained from renewable sources.

Good Energy won an award as the best green supplier - we changed to them and though it's early days they've been great.
