Reusable cup retains taste of previous drinks

I have a Lifeventures insulated mug which I'd like to use to take hot drinks with me out and about. But it always exudes a faint aroma of previous coffees/ hot chocolates which isn't great. Any ideas on how to wash it to get rid of this? Or would I be better to get another cup and mark them so I always have tea in the tea cup and coffee in the coffee cup?

I have a Klean Kanteen that doesn’t retain flavours. I really like it! I use for hot and cold drinks.

You could also try soaking in Violets mineral bleach. I’ve heard good things.

If you can’t stick it in the dishwasher, dunk it in Milton sterilising solution. The rubber seals is where the flavours tend to linger, so if you can take them apart to give them a good scrub, that will help.

I knew there was a reason I'd kept the Milton! Will give that a go, thank you both

I'd go for separate cups personally. But Milton does tend to clean aromas rather well.
