Ok so i am placing it low low down like sorry of tmi but almost coming out of my vagina low. It still seems to blasted leak. It collects loads but when emptying its like a carrie amount of blood on the outside and i get covered! And there is some going into the panty liner i am using whilst i practice. At night my vagina seems to eat it! It goes very high and i can barely reach it but it seems to leak less?? I don't know what i am doing wrong! Help!

MIght the size be wrong? I started with the larger size (well over 30, vaginal birth) and mine leaked like crazy no matter what I did, tipped sideways, basically unusable. I switched to the smaller one & it worked beautifully & has continued to do so for 10 years +.

I keep mine in very high and never have any problems.

Please persevere, it’s a revelation once you’re used to it!

OlennasWimple · 10/12/2017 18:04

Try wearing it higher during the day and see what happens?

fairgame84 · 10/12/2017 18:06

Wearing it low doesn't work for me either so I wear it higher than they say.

susiegrapevine · 10/12/2017 21:33

Thanks guys will try wearing it higher. I don't think it's too big. It certainly doesn't slip and i can hear the seal breaking when i take it out. I was just paranoid about putting it too high when the instructions were so you must not put it high. Its only my 2nd time trying and 1st from the start of it. Have switched to tampon for now but will try again next month.

I have to wear mine quite high.

I looked at the instructions like Hmm and wondered if my vagina must be wonky.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 10/12/2017 21:40

Sorry for ignorant question but why is a MC better than a tampon?

ThatEscalatedQuickly · 10/12/2017 21:44

Smiled you can leave it in much longer, it's safer and it lasts for years.

EggbertHeartsTina · 10/12/2017 21:46

Susie, it took me 3 months to get relatively used to mine but it still leaked. Then I did this quiz:

putacupinit.com/quiz/

And the answer told me to go with another brand (Diva Cup) and it doesn't leak at all. Like PPs I have to wear mine quite high.

OneGreyElephantBalancing · 10/12/2017 21:53

I struggled with moon cup leaking and feeling too low or sucked up high. Couldn't get on with it. Tried a softer cup (Eva cups were good value on Amazon) and it made a world of difference.

I found MC to be too rigid in the end despite having had two big babies vaginally.

Keep at it. And when it clicks it fab!

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 10/12/2017 22:14

Thanks escalated.

OlennasWimple · 11/12/2017 20:20

One - my mooncup once "clicked" when the c-fold took a while to unfold then suddenly did... That was not a fab sensation!

Smiled - they are cheaper and more environmentally friendly than disposable tampons, and I don't get nearly as much cramping either. They aren't perfect (you do need a particular toilet / sink set up to make emptying them less hassle, for example) but I wish I had started using them years ago

Hey guys just wanted to come back and say thanks for your help. Wearing it higher this month and getting on much better Smile
