I cannot belive it. DH is watching a programme on one of the Discovery channels and I am horrifed at the consumption of natural reasources Las Vegas uses. This used to be one of my fav cities - we had our honeymoon there, it was our first holiday away together - wel..no more
1% of energy is solar power - as the city thinks it's to expensive to convert more buildings
2% is generated by the Hoover Dam
And a mega 80% is coal!!!
Hello this city is so rich from all it's gaming why can't they be more responsible about thier power consumption and invest some of that wealth into renewable energy - they are in the middle of the desert FFS, it's not like over here in the UK when the sun is hit and miss. I mean one of the attraction in The Aladdin was an indoor rainstorm!
Also how much of the enrgy is just purley for entertainment purposes - not life and survival
I am so cross about this!
