My soap nuts don't work

Thats it really. Was all excited about trying them and being eco friendly, but my tea towels came out looking just as dirty after a 60 degree wash for 90 mins..put 7 in the bag as well.
I know some people put washing soda in as well but that's not very nice stuff is it?

Well soap nuts are simply never going to work as well as chemical cleansers. They just don't....try adding lemon juice or white vinegar as a whitening agent if you don't like soda.

Also make sure you don't overload the machine when you're washing.

I tried soapnuts too and never used them.ever again. I just felt my clothes weren't very clean. Have you tried making your own Laundry Gloop?
