Great cause but what happens once the event is over?

Whilst standing, waiting at the till in supermarket yesterday I was looking at all the Sport Relief merchandise on sale. Little red plastic figures overly packaged in yet more plastic, badges, t-shirts etc... OK it's a great cause but give it a few weeks and all that merchandise will be landfill. I know it's not just Sport Relief - the world is full of plastic cr#p!

Shops are now full of England discounted stuff.
England flags are 10p in Asda and caps are 50p in B&Q. I bet a lot of it will be dumped though - too expensive to save it all til the next big tornament.

At least the Sports Relief socks are reusable!
