I usde to be able to put these in the recycle box but they won't take them any more. How shall I throw away my batteries.

I usually use rechargables, but there are some disposables still around and I need to get rid.

Me too

I have a small pile by the sink

If you only have small quantities then you can put them in the ordinary household waste.

Larger quantities should be disposed of correctly - try your local tip, they may have a collection point.

ds2's teacher collects them in at school and disposes of them. Where to, I have no idea!

Our local dump has a battery recycle bin. I've started using the rechargable ones as we were going through that many.
