Can I recycle clothes hangers?

I've just done a major clear-out of our wardrobes and have a huge bag of clothes hangers, all different types but it just doesn't feel right to throw them out. I don't think charity shops take them, does anyone have any suggestions?

I think charity shops probably would take them or even put them on free cycle.

ask at charity shops first

if no luck, then put them on freecycle - offer them in bunches, or as a job lot - I bet there'd be lots of interest

I remember asking a few charity shops in the past and they said no. I've just listed them on Freeshare so hopefully someone will want them Smile

Take them to m&s. Maybe phone first if you're worried about carting them there, but they recycle their hangers for charity (unicef I think) presumably they don't mind which branding they have.
