toilet cleaning in hard water area

Moving house soon and would like new toilets not to descend to rather stained scaled state as current one . What do you eco-gurus recommend?

not an eco guru, however you can try bicarb and lemon juice, or vinegar (white) or a ottle of cheap cola - all needs to be put round the loo at night so it is not flushed away too quick - a programme on tv called super scrimpers gives all sorts of advice like this - they may have a website!!
