Eco dishwasher detergent

Having been horrified to discover that they're still allowed to use phosphates in dishwasher tablets, we've been using Ecover ones. They don't seem to work very well though. Does anybody know of any more eco-friendly products that actually work? I've found a recipe for making your own. Has anybody tried that? Thanks!

We use Ecover and find it's great! We do have to use a non-Eco wash setting, though Hmm.

FYI I have very high standards of washing-up cleanliness! Grin

we read on here about 'simple' washing products for washing your clothes. we've switched to these and are not disappointed. they also do dishwasher tablets i think, and are available in the supermarket. don't know how good they are though, cos i don't have a dishwasher... [hgrin]

Ecover dishwasher tabs were utterly crap for us. We reverted to a supermarket own brand pretty quickly.

Love Simply laundry tabs. And they're v cheap. I top them up with a tiny smudge of Vanish.
