Raw food

(have just ummed and ahhed for an unseemly length of time about whether this belongs here or under "food". Ahem.)
I am developing a bit of an interest in raw food (of the hippy type not just a bit of chopped carrot) and wondered if anyone here had a. any particularly recommended books and/or b. could answer a slightly odd question. A couple of times I have felt a bit peculiar after eating something - the first time was raw bread made with sprouted hemp seeds, the second was coleslaw containing purple cornflour and cacao nibs. Both left me feeling a bit, well, spaced out. Odd. Not quite here. Am I nuts or is this normal?

Ani's Raw Food Kitchen by Ani Phyo is pretty good. I'm not sure about the spaced out feeling, although this article suggests it might be from detoxing: www.selfhelparticles.net/raw-food-diet-review/

Thank you! I'll see if the library has that book.

Read the 801010 diet by Doug Graham, or go to www.30bananasaday.com

oh, and throw the cacao nibs in the bin!

you might have some sort of intolerance to something - i've recently discovered that raw beetroot makes me v spaced out (and violently sick if I eat much of it).
