What to do with all these carrier bags?

I am having a sort out and literally have about 5 bags full of plastic bags! I need to get rid of them as I desperately need the space. I use re-useable bags now anyway.

Is there anything I can do with them? Ie recycling place or something? Ideally want to be able to get rid tomorrow.

Thanks in advance

How about giving them to a charity shop? We gave a couple of bag-loads to one, they always need bags to put things in for the customers who don't carry a shopping bag with them at all times Grin

does your local authority not recycle? I put mine in with plastic/paper/glass/cans once a week

They recycle but I am pretty sure carrier bags are not included. I didn't think they were usually collected, although I will check this.

I will also phone the charity shops to see if they want them.

Take them to a large tesco store and they have plastic bag recycling; usually in the front of the store or just outside.

We chuck all ours in Tescos but have a couple kept back for wet swimming gear.
