Baby furniture thats good for the environment, where?

We have bought so much for my son and I don't know where to go to buy better more environmentally friendly furniture, without the ridiculous price tag?

What furniture do you need for him? Have you considered buying second-hand furniture - at least then the environmental impact is being shared out with the previous owners, and the cost should be much less.

Yes, second hand is the way to go - though you'll need a new mattress and car seats. And if you buy from charity shops you're also giving to a good cause.

Agree, 2nd hand is the way to go, and pass it on when you have finished with it.

We had most of our things given to us which was great, in particular I am looking for a new cot the old ones rubbsih. I've seen some ones in IKEA that are not too pricey but how bad are they for the environment?
