Shopping with a bicycle trailer

I just bought a trailer for the nursery run and would like to use it to do the shopping too, where possible. One thing that bothers me slightly is where to park a bike and trailer so that it doesn't get in the way of pedestrians/other bikes. I'd welcome any advice/experience, thank you.

I guess it depends what your local town is like. There's no problem where I live parking a bike/trailer combo relatively near to the shops - there's a couple of places where there's a large enough space for it not to be in the way. But I guess it will vary in different towns.

I suppose the difference is that you can't necessarily park right outside a shop, the way that you usually can with just a bike, so you need to take shopping bags as well to carry your shopping to the trailer.

That's a good point. I need to do a recce of the bike parks/down the sides of the supermarket. Thank you.
