Ecover washing powder

Is anyone else having problems with the new Ecover concentrated washing powder?

I've had to start using it as I can't get the old one any more.

The main problem is that quite a lot of it seems to stay in the dispenser drawer instead of going into the washing machine during the programme. I only found out both times when I went to do another load (let's face it, who checks the drawer after each wash?!).

And I find I'm using the same amount as with the old style powder, so not that concentrated at all, really.

I use the liquid, so don't have the same problem.

It also works out slightly cheaper as they refill the bottle in our local healthfood shop - less packaging cost!

Try the liquid version Smile

I don't have that problem with Bio-D powder.

I use bio D too but add soda chrystals to a white wash and they come out lovely.

I tried soap nuts as really wanted to be greener but didnt take to them as my white washing didnt feel clean.

Has anyone ever tried one of those eco wash balls which don`t need anything else?

Would love to know if they work?

I use eco balls for colours and the Bio-D powder for whites. Seems to get things clean enough for me but I'm no domestic goddess!
