Does anyone use Dr Bronner's or Rhassoul clay?

Hi,
I wasn't sure where to post this as although I know these are both more ethical products my thoughts about using them have been driven by wanting to find stuff that would be more gentle on eczema prone skin than regular bodycare products.

I have looked into and considered both but, before deciding what to try, I was just hoping that someone else who has used one or the other could advise me on how effective they are at cleansing, how easy they are to use and whether they are genuinely good to use for all over the body, and for hair.

And, while I'm at it, does anyone use volcanic alum as deodrant?

I used Dr Bronners for years to clean everything. Worked a treat.

Used the baby stuff on all three of my children and was fine on my DD1 who is allergic to SLS.

Thanks expat, yes I was leaning towards Dr Bronners, esp the baby mild formula, as it would be for the whole family incl dd2 who is 20mo. She and I are both better off steering clear of anything with SLS in, or any chemically derived ingredient for that matter.

It sounds like you don't use it any longer, have you found a suitable replacement? I was also wondering where the best place to buy it from would be - an online site I guess? I know from doing a 'Dr Bronner' search that you would get it brought over from the States, did you ever manage to buy it over here at all?

I get it from the US, tbh, because I go there, and over there, you can fill up a 1 gallon jug for about $25 and it lasts for ages. I use the baby mild still for the children (ages 7, 5 and 2) and the peppermint for all cleaning purposes.

It doesn't lather a lot, but it cleans just fine.

If you have a Whole Earth shop (some parts of the SE now do), they carry it and possibly ship it.

Some independent health food shops do, too.

For deodorant I use Jason stuff that I buy in a local independent health food shop.
