If you had about 30 old coathangers you no longer had use for, how would you dispose of them?

I would give them to a charity shop, or freecycle them. Someone was asking for hangers on my local freecycle last week.

Thanks :)

Yes, try freecycle, it's amazing what people will take, and it's quite interesting meeting people when they come round to collect things.

I give metal hangers back to the dry cleaners

Our Tesco Extra collects them for recycling. I very rarely shop in Tesco, but do go there when I've got a bundle of hangers to get rid of.

Wire ones go back to the dry cleaners.

Ditto nuttybear, they seem grateful (as long as they're in decent condition obv).

I think freecycle is probably be your best bet. There is no end of people that need them. I've given away a fair few coathangers there before. Charity shops are another good option.
