How do I dispose of a DVD / video player?

Have you asked your local council? Ours won't collect, but if you bring them in, you can throw in a big container labelled 'small appliances'. I find this somehow very satisfying [saddo emoticon].

leave it outside the house with a piece of paper on it saying scrap, it will be gone within half an hour
