To check partners phone to see where he has been?

I've been with my partner for 4 years, and lately I have been suspicious about where he has been. He has been lying about where he has been going so I have been looking at his map app. I was right, he has been untruthful. I confronted him and he didn't like it.

Is it ethical to keep on looking at where he has been going?

What’s the point? You know he lies about where he is, and you’ve told him you know (of course he didn’t like it, he’s been caught out!) so he’ll jusy hide it better now. You’ll never trust him again, and why should you? He’s proved he is not to be trusted. Can you see a future with someone like that? I know how I would feel.

It's not ideal, but if you have reason to be suspicious and are proved right then it's game over I think. Pity you confronted him now he will hide it. You have lost the opportunity to gather more evidence and really expose the bastard as a liar and possibly a cheat

Doesn’t really matter, you still don’t trust him and never will. You can either take control and end it now or let it limp on for a few wasted months at best, years at worst, before he drops you for someone else, leaving you with shattered confidence and having wasted more time with him. Your choice.

I don't get why you need more evidence? It'll just prove the same thing - that he's a liar and can't be trusted. What do you think will change as you continue to snoop and wait for the inevitable? Pull the plaster off and dump the ar5e before you lose all dignity.

Dont do this to yourself. Did he apologise for lying or tell you where he really has been going. If not then what's the point. The trust has gone and he will just be more careful in covering his tracks if hes been up to no good.
