eBay selling fake baby ultrasounds

eBay are selling fake baby scans/ultrasounds which can be personalised with any name/date/hospital as a joke! I think it's awful and actually rang eBay customer services about it who told me to report the seller. I did that but 5 months on and still being sold in the hundreds. Am I alone in thinking this is wrong?

You can buy positive pregnancy tests on Gumtree!

Maybe not ethical, no, but businesses are
There to make money. This isn’t illegal so I don’t think ebay will, or should have to pull them.

eBay customer services actually say themselves that it is illegal but it is such a big site that they rely on consumers to report as new listings are appearing daily. The positive pregnancy tests have been contaminated with someone's urine(!) and are therefore unhygienic and the fake scans are encouraging illegal activity. Some buyers might be using as jokes but the majority are to deceive others and when you've been on the end of an elaborate deception believe me it really isn't funny.

I'm not impressed that ebay are letting that happen. Can only be used to deceive people which is wrong.

I appreciate they have a huge site to "police" and they prioritise more dangerous sales like drugs, weapons, etc but if they admit they are prohibited items then they should remove them without relying on consumers to report it. I've just checked Gumtree and it is prohibited sale on there too and they have none listed which is reassuring.
