Has anyone came across this? Mum has been on Mirapex for quite a few years for restless leg syndrome. This year she was diagnosed with vascular dementia and altzimers following an incident where she left her house in the middle of the night.
All the doctors called it delirium but one nurse did say it sounded more like a hallucination. There have been several more instances since but none where she has left the house and I’ve had cameras installed outside so I can see if she does.
I was scrolling on tic toc last night and saw a clip of a medical show (911 Lonestar!!!) where the paramedic mentioned drugs for RLS can cause hallucinations!! ChatGPT says that hallucinations are a known serious side effect of the Mirapex.
I plan on calling mums GP tomorrow (I have moms consent to speak to her) but I’m wondering if this has happened anyone else.
