Best places to sell a nearly new reclining armchair?

This part of the site has been incredibly helpful regarding my elderly mother and mother in law. My mother died in the Spring and I am now involved in helping to clear her house. My question is about a reclining armchair I would like to sell. This was bought a couple of years ago for nearly a thousand pounds, and was hardly used. There is no interest for it on Ebay. Does anyone know any better websites or forums for trying to sell it? Any tips would be very welcome.

Facebook marketplace?

Depends how much you want for it. They only fetch a fraction of the original price. I've seen them for sale in a charity shop. Usually around £75. If you have a local shop that does window adverts try them. But hardly any do now. Or a local buy and sell FB group.

The issue is usually transport. Presumably you can't take it apart and it be transported in a regular car?
So it's reliant on someone either having access to or paying to hire a van. Or a person with van who resells such things.

Bearing in mind the new or refurbed ones from a company they will bring it to your house and room of choice. So the cost needs to be a lot lower than any one that would be delivered.

But definitely Facebook. There's Freecycle if you just want it shifted for no payment. Or some Charities take it away.

does it still have the fire retention label on it ?

Some charities like Heart Foundation will collect big furniture for free & sell it cheaply in their shop. You will receive no money, but you will know that it went to a new home.

If you have your own transport, you could put it in an auction yourself. However, do not expect it to sell for much money.

We had to buy one urgently when my husband broke his knees in a cattle accident. Cost a fortune, none on Facebook at the time and he couldn’t sit down without it.

the kids love it and I picked up a matching one for free on Facebook last week. So frustrating but very little resale value.

Thanks everyone for answering. There is a possible buyer now at 50 pounds!

And it was sold at 50 pounds! I just thought it was surprising about the speed of the devaluation. At least we didn't have to throw it away.
Thank you everyone for the comments,

often you have to pay someone to take them away. Also they come in different sizes and for some people sitting in them all day long it really matters that they have the right size. It’s electrical, someone might have been incontinent in it, and they are very heavy to move. I don’t think it’s that surprising that they don’t have much resale value. You did well to get £50.
