My parent, generally still active and driving, needs a shoulder replacement. My question is, does anyone have experience of this in an elderly widowed parent ? I do not live locally but can stay as required. Thanks

Not in an 85-year-old, my dad was about 71 when he had it done – he was in significant pain afterwards for a few days whilst he was still in hospital. When he came home, he did need a lot of looking after for a few weeks but has had a great result overall . He’s 80 now.
