Elderly parents

Should I go to hospital with him

I have just had a phone call from carers to say my elderly father 94 - has fallen again.
He’s up and walking but the ambulance has taken him as his ribs hurt.
I live 2 hours away. During the last month I have spent hours/days in A and E with him. Always discharged after a few days. He lives in a small nursing home.
I have just spent a week with him and visit 2 to 3 times every week.
I have a house full of people, I have so been looking forward to having today with them.
I am due to go over and stay with him tomorrow and Boxing Day.
Would it be unforgivable to leave him to the tender care of the ambulance and A and E?
Every time Ive been in A and E with him he’s just been on a trolley and I’ve had to sit elsewhere as there is no room to stand with the masses of lined up trolleys. They wheel him off for scans and X-rays and I’m left just waiting.
I’m just so fed up. He hasn’t got a lot of capacity.

Enjoy the day with your friends/ family and see him tomorrow as planned.

Has he got mental capacity?

If not it may be time for a discussion with the care home about when he should and shouldn't be going to hospital as multiple short stays is going to be very unpleasant for him.

Thank you all!
They are sending him back to the home - no damage apart from some bruises.
