I'm hoping someone has any recommendations for a clear guide on questions, answers, pitfalls, laws etc etc on adult social care in the UK.
Basically what can be enforced, what can't, what help there is, and how it all works with social workers carers hospitals and OT, capacity decisions, what family can refuse, what family can insist on, what help there is etc etc.
Thanks!

have you tried AgeUK or CAB? I think that AgeUK are very good sure they have things they can recommend, or maybe pamphlets?

As pp said, Age UK
You can send away for hard copies of their guides if you prefer that format

I doubt if there are any books - they'd most likely be out of date very quickly, and are unlikely to pick up all the different services.
You'd probably be better off looking for online resources that can be downloaded from places like Age UK or the relevant local councils.
