Any recommendations for Dementia Care Home near Kingston / Richmond / Twickenham?

Does anyone have knowledge / experience of any really good care homes / nursing homes suitable for someone with dementia, in or around these areas? This is just a very initial scoping out, on behalf of an elderly relative. And it may not be necessary for some time yet (as they wish to stay in their own home as long as possible) but it would be really helpful to get an idea. Thanks in advance..

Thanks for this - do you have (or have you had) a relative there? Were they happy there, and was the level of care good? Thanks again

Abbeyfield in New Malden is a specialist dementia care home, purpose built, with a large garden. My DM was there for nearly 8 years and we were very happy with it.

Self funding or council funded?
